Since 2011, the DEBS conference has provided a yearly Grand Challenge to the event processing community. The goal of the DEBS Grand Challenge is to provide a common ground and evaluation criteria for a competition aimed at both research and industrial event-based systems. The objective of the competition is to implement a solution to a problem provided by the DEBS Grand Challenge organizers. Solutions provided by the challenge participants will be evaluated and rated based on the following criteria: (1) correctness with respect to the problem specification, (2) throughput, and (3) latency.
